I was inspired by the natural history collections within Royal Albert Memorial Museum, particularly the 19th century collections of Echinoderms such as starfish and sea lilies, rare and tropical butterflies, and the adjacent treasure trove of bird specimens from across the world. The sketches for this print began in late spring at dusk — that in-between time of year when the evenings stretch long and summer is almost here

which is inspired by my sketchbook drawings and illustrations of the Atlantic Ocean
