Progetto Calcarius Orange NV (750 ml) North CoastA great introduction to skin contact or "orange" wines. This is made from Falanghina grown on limestone soils, given 5 days of maceration on the skins developing into a deeply hued orange wine. Fermented with indigenous yeast, no filtering or fining and a small addition of sulfites at bottling only.

This wine has a very solid structure due to the elevated alcohol and the balance between soft tannins and acidity

The nose is a combo of dark fruits and chocolate with notes of plum and black currants

The selection of Syrah for this wine came from old and young vines located throughout the estate with the exception of the Coteaux peaks and foothills
